Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 12, 2026Our commitment: FaceSculpt is committed to providing a digital experience that is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and continuously improve.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG 2.1 has three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA.
FaceSculpt's website (facesculpt.app) and mobile application aim to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard, but we are actively working toward full compliance.
Accessibility features in our website
We have implemented:
- Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
- Sufficient color contrast meeting WCAG AA requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Keyboard navigation support — all interactive elements can be reached and operated using only a keyboard
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
- Alt text for meaningful images
- Skip-to-content links
- Responsive design that works at different zoom levels (up to 200%)
- Form labels and error messages
- ARIA landmarks and labels where appropriate
- Captions and transcripts for video content
- No content that flashes more than 3 times per second
- Logical reading order and heading hierarchy
Accessibility features in our mobile app
The FaceSculpt mobile application supports:
- VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android): screen readers for visually impaired users
- Dynamic Type / Font Scaling: respects system text size preferences
- Reduced Motion: respects system reduced-motion preferences
- High contrast mode: optimized for users with low vision
- Color contrast: meets WCAG AA standards throughout
- Touch target sizes: minimum 44×44 points (iOS) / 48×48 dp (Android)
- Haptic feedback: for users who benefit from non-visual confirmation
- Voice control compatibility: works with iOS Voice Control and Android Voice Access
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some accessibility limitations exist:
- Facial scanning feature: requires a camera and visual positioning, which may present challenges for users with significant visual impairments. We are researching audio-guided positioning as a future enhancement.
- Some third-party content: embedded content from external sources may not fully conform to our accessibility standards.
- Visualization charts: while we provide alternative text, some complex data visualizations may be difficult to interpret with screen readers. We are working on simplified text alternatives.
Compatible technologies
FaceSculpt is designed to be compatible with:
- Latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
- VoiceOver (iOS 15+) and TalkBack (Android 11+)
- JAWS, NVDA, Dragon NaturallySpeaking on supported browsers
- Operating system zoom features at up to 200%
Assessment approach
FaceSculpt assesses accessibility through:
- Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria
- Automated testing with tools including axe DevTools and Lighthouse
- Manual testing by team members using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers
- External audits planned annually
